Banana bread is by far one of my favorite breakfasts. It’s simple, delicious and filling without being overly fattening. This recipe is SO simple. It takes about 30 minutes to get everything mixed and then another hour to bake, so it’s perfect to make on a lazy Sunday afternoon when you’re binging on Gilmore Girls.
The best banana bread I’ve ever made comes from really ripe bananas so make sure you let them ripen before you use them. Hope you all enjoy it!
Best Ever Banana Bread

Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 ½ cups flour
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- ½ cup walnuts (if desired)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
- 2. Using your fork, mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth. I also used an electric hand mixer to make it smoother.
- 3. Mix in butter, egg, baking soda, flour, sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Stir well.
- 4. Grease a bread baking pan and poor batter into it.
- 5. Let cook for 45 min to an hour or until you insert a toothpick and it comes out clean.
- 6. Let cool!
