Jeesh! I’ve been crushing HARD on Gin and Tonic for as long as I can remember. Back in 2016, I even put together a blog post showcasing Three Different Takes on the Classic Gin and Tonic. It was easily one of the most fun posts i’ve ever put together (mainly because I got to experiment with and drink Three G and Ts for work). Needless to say, i’ve been itching to do it again and figured i’d put a fun spin on it by showcasing Three Recipes each inspired by Autumn.
Three Autumn Gin and Tonic Recipes
The secret to a good G&T is to make sure the fruit/flavor doesn’t overwhelm the rest of the drink. The three recipes that i’ve put together all have the smallest taste of fall and I can honestly say they’ll be on REPEAT until December. So, what’s in them you ask? Let’s dive in.
Fig and Thyme
I love figs in the fall. It’s the perfect time of year, and you’ll find me using them in all sorts of cocktails and recipes from September – early November. I love the subtle flavor it adds to this drink, and I’m sure you will too.
Ingredients:
2 oz Gin
5 oz Tonic
.5 oz Fig Simple Syrup (Recipe here)
1 Fig cut in half
1 stalk Thyme
Pomegranate & Rosemary
If we’re speaking technically, this one may fall more into the winter category. But It sounds perfect for November and Thanksgiving to me, and I loved it, so i’m rolling with it. Fun fact I LOVE Pomegranate (sangria recipe here and vodka here). This one is also SUPER SIMPLE to make, just mix the following together:
Ingredients:
2 oz Gin
5 oz Tonic
1 handful Pomegranate Seeds
1 stalk rosemary
Apple Cider & Sage
I saved my favorite for last, because boy do I LOVE this cocktail. It tastes just like fall to me, but that’s probably because anything with Apple Cider reminds me of the slushies I used to get at school every October. Here’s How to make it:
Ingredients:
2 oz Gin
3 oz Tonic
2 oz Apple Cider
1 Apple Slice
1 Sage Leaf
Hope you enjoy these cocktails as much as I do! And, if you give them all a shot make sure to let me know which one you liked best!
XO,
Kenzie
