It only seems fitting to share a coat on what might actually be the coldest day i’ve ever experienced. I feel bad complaining, because I’m sure there are people dealing with much more extreme conditions than me. But, today it’s -12. Seriously, how is that even possible? I’ve been hibernating in sweats and fuzzy jackets for what seems like months. Truly, I would NEVER make in the North East or Canada. 😂
Trust me, I wish that I could start sharing about the latest spring styles. But, I remind you: It’s -12 degrees and we definitely have the coldest days yet ahead. Which is why I grabbed this jacquard coat on sale for under $100 (similar here and here) when I was browsing sales earlier this month. I love how the glitzy jacquard print matched with a kimono-like silhouette gives it such an elegant feel. I ended up pairing it with my staple white tissue turtleneck and white high-waisted jeans for a simple twist on a winter whites look.
I’ve done myself a disservice by not hopping on the jacquard train earlier. It’s so glitzy, and glamorous. And, the thicker fabric, makes it the perfect winter staple for a night out. Not to mention it’s almost ALWAYS a major statement piece in the form of a coat or pants! After getting (and loving) this coat, i’ve started searching the web for more of this fabric, and rounded up a few of my favorite pieces for you to take a look at below.
XO,
K
