Hello beautiful people! Before I share this delicious fall-inspired recipe, there’s something you should know about me. Are you ready? Pizza is my weakness. No really, i’m obsessed with it. In fact, J and I have a make-your-own flatbread bar every week. So, i’ve started calling myself an official flatbread expert. Am I ashamed? Nope.
This time of year I start craving all things fall. I may be in Florida, but September always lifts my mood regardless of how hot it may be outside. From my lattes to clothes and now my food, I want anything and everything to feel like fall. And, this little flatbread does the trick.
Why? There’s something so refreshing about the prominent taste of the prosciutto mixing with the crisp, fresh arugula. I even drizzled my flatbread with a touch of balsamic reduction, which made these classic flavors burst. When it all comes together, the textures compliment one another perfectly. Without further ado, here’s how to make prosciutto arugula flatbread!
- 4 slices fresh prosciutto
- 1 cup arugula
- 1 flatbread
- 1 1/2 cups low fat mozzarella cheese
- balsamic reduction
- salt
- pepper
- garlic
- 1 tbs olive oil
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Brush olive oil on flatbread and add garlic, salt and pepper to taste. Then, cook in the oven for 5 minutes.
- Take flatbread out and add low-fat mozzarella cheese to the top evenly. Then, bake for another 5 minutes. Or, until edges start to get crisp and cheese is fully melted.
- Meanwhile, tear apart proscuitto so that it is in smaller pieces and set aside.
- Remove flatbread from the oven and garnish with arugula and prosciutto. Once it is fully covered, drizzle a small amount of balsamic reduction over the top of the flatbread.
- Cut into slices and enjoy!

This looks delicious! And I know what you mean about fall in Florida! I used to live there (originally a Midwestern girl, too) and the lack of cool weather in any season was so weird to me. But you still learn to get excited about the little things!

So nice to hear i’m not the only one who finds it strange! I loved fall and the first sign of snow in Indiana – it was so nice to have a bit of crisp air! I still plan on decorating and eating for the seasons though – haha! Thanks for your sweet comment, Kiersten.

This may be a silly question, but where do you find this flatbread in the grocery store? Bakery? Frozen?
Kenzie says
I found mine in the bakery section, but sometimes they also have them by the pasta sauce!
