Cinco de Mayo is almost upon us! You know I’ll never miss out on a chance to whip up a good cocktail recipe, especially when it involves tequila and a side of chips and salsa.
Margaritas are my go-to drink of choice during warmer months. J and I got in the habit of grabbing one once a week at a local spot just down the road, so it was well-past time to learn how to whip one up all on my own. I love anything and everything sweet, especially in my drinks, so I opted to switch out the traditional lime for a pineapple base in this recipe. And, boy am I glad I did. I added a little piece of Sage to the top for some texture, which gave the drink a bit of a punch. Finally, I squeezed in just a touch of lime for that classic Margarita taste that I love oh so much.
- 1 pineapple
- 1 oz tequila
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- 1 lime (juice)
- Handful of Ice
- Spring of Sage
- Add all ingredients (except for the sage) in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into 2-3 glasses and and garnish with sage. Serve quickly and enjoy!
BTW keep the party going with these Watermelon Margaritas.
XO,
K
