I’m sure that if you follow any other blogger you’ve already heard plenty about this sale, but here’s the deal: It can be really overwhelming. Everywhere you look on Instagram you’ll see “Nordstrom Sale This” “Nordstrom Sale That”, and honestly it’s A LOT to take in. Today, i’m breaking down the sale and pick the few pieces I found and love, instead of overwhelming you with tons of content.
A Little About the Sale
If you haven’t shopped this sale before, you should know it has a lot of support because it’s a really good sale. Long story short it’s the only sale that gives you a huge discount on Fall Staples that haven’t even been on the website yet. AKA: Brand new fall clothes at CRAZY discounts.
Everything included is on sale now and will then go back up in price the minute it’s over for the rest of the season. Overwhelming? Yes. Stressful? Yes. Amazing? YES.
But…
People often go nuts for this sale, and hearing about it so much on social media doesn’t help. The comparison game is sure to run big over the next few weeks, so i’d encourage you all to pick your favorite few pieces and not go too crazy on your purchases!
What does that mean? Splurge for the piece you’ve been eyeing forever (like a classic trench, killer boots or a new pair of denim), but don’t feel like you have to buy the new “it” heel when you have tons of pairs at home. I always buy staple pieces that I know will stay in my closet for a while.

Cardigans and Sweaters
This is the one category I never mind spending money on. For starters, I live in Indiana where it’s freezing 70% of the time, so I live in my sweaters. Typically, I stick with blush, cream or white because they tend to go with everything I own and can be worn time and time again. I ordered this Free People sweater in Cream and am also considering purchasing this long cardigan too!

OTK Boots, Booties and Shoes
I was so happy with the shoe selection from the sale this year. They always have great picks, especially when it comes to boots and booties. It’s seriously the BEST time of the year to stock up on your fall and winter shoes! My favorites were this mule and these hiker boots in black.

Denim
I’m a firm believer that you can NEVER have enough denim. And, when it comes to jeans the Nordstrom Sale Never disappoints. I’m loving this cropped pair and this ankle length black Jean from Rag and Bone!

Tops and Blouses
There are always TONS of trendy, fun fall blouses during the Nordstrom Sale, and I definitely use it as a chance to stock up. My advice is grab a few at lower price points if you’re opting for the trendier pieces! I pulled the trigger on this green top from Hinge and this flutter sleeve top from BP.

Sadly, I didn’t buy any coats from the Sale so far. But, that’s only because J would kill me if one more showed up in our coat closet. 😂 I LOVED this faux shearling coat and this plaid coat (ironically from Kensie).

There weren’t tons of dresses this year either, but the ones they do have are adorable! I love this Floral number that I linked up below!
