Happy Friday!
I’ve been a little MIA because Wednesday was my 26th birthday and my family surprised me with a quick visit to see J and I in Indy! I took a few days off to spend some time with them, show them our new home and relax a bit. It was a blast, and I got to watch the latest Bachelor Episode with my mom! (Whoa. DRAMA.)
J and I also found out our closing date for the new home – and, we’re so excited. We’ll be moving in mid April and I’ll be giving you updates along the way!
Anyway, I’m so excited to share a few photos from last weekend with you guys today. J and I spent last Sunday Morning outside (it was finally gorgeous) eating one too many donuts. We found a cozy little corner in Carmel and grabbed a few photos – it was heaven!
Admittedly, we haven’t yet been able to experience that spring weather yet in Indy, but we did get a little sunshine that had me reaching for a pop of color! This not-spring-but-not-winter weather is always so tough to dress for. But, I’ve become quite the expert after living in the cold, read on for my tips!
Colorful Sweaters
It’s safe to say that colorful sweaters are making up many of my everyday outfits. From the lilac beauty I’m wearing in these photos, to this pretty pastel blue number – I can’t get enough! I also recently purchased a sweater that plays into the faux wrap trend that I adore. Plus, it can even be worn with the wrap in the front, or the back!
Light Jeans
I live in pants this time of year. One, I’m pale by nature so dresses and skirts in winter are a huge know in my book. But, two, light wash jeans are a great way to start transitioning your looks to spring. They pair perfectly with springy colors like pink, lavender, white and blue. And, this pair from Levi’s has been my go-to as of late. If you live somewhere a bit warmer, you can event skip the light wash and head straight for white jeans – I have, and love, this pair!
Sneakers
I love boots. Really, I’d wear them all year if I could. But, even I get tired of them sometimes. This time of year, I always manage to step up my sneaker game. From the Adidas I’m sporting in this pick, to a simple blush pair like these from Nordstrom you really can’t go wrong (or be comfier)!
What are your go to transition pieces?
