You might have noticed I have a thing for a good Gin and Tonic. It started with the classic recipe, then my love for them grew when I added my favorite fruits for a slight twist on this classic drink. Today, I’ve got quite the treat for you – Gin and Tonic 3 ways.
Gin and Tonic 3 Ways
I’ve tested one too many gin and tonic flavors, and the three versions of this drink i’ve come up with for you today, are by far my favorite. The secret to a good G&T is to make sure the fruit doesn’t overwhelm the rest of the drink. I try not to add a ton of fruit/herbs, to make sure that it just leaves a subtle taste.
Grapefruit Thyme G&T
Okay, if you follow me over on Instagram it’s pretty obvious I LOVE grapefruit. So trying a classic G&T with a little grapefruit was a no brainer for me. This versions is hands down my fav, because the grapefruit adds a slightly bitter taste and the thyme reals it back in.
Ingredients:
2 oz gin
5 oz tonic
1 slice grapefruit
1 stalk thyme
ice
To Make:
Mix gin, tonic, and ice. Garnish with grapefruit and thyme!
Raspberry Rosemary G&T
I was surprise how much I loved this flavor combination. To be honest, when I was mixing these drinks, this combination was an accident. But, it turned out SO good. The raspberries add a bit of sweetness to the drink, while the rosemary makes it smooth.
Ingredients:
2 oz gin
5 oz tonic
1 handful raspberries
1 stalk rosemary
ice
To Make:
Mix gin, tonic and ice. Garnish with raspberries and rosemary!
Blueberry Mint G&T
Oh blueberries, how I love you. Just ask J, i’m truly addicted to blueberries, so it’s no surprise I came up with a way to incorporate them into my favorite drink. You’ll have to trust me on this one, but the combination of blueberry and mint is AMAZING.
Ingredients:
2 oz gin
5 oz tonic
1 handful blueberries
4-5 mint leaves
ice
To Make:
Mix gin, tonic and ice. Garnish with blueberries and mint!
I hope you enjoy these recipes! And, you’ll have to let me know which one ends up being your favorite!
XO,
Kenzie
