Winter and hot chocolate go hand-in-hand in my world. But, Florida has been so hot that I haven’t been able to indulge in my chocolatey drink of choice quite as often as I’d like to. Enter Frozen Hot Chocolate Milkshakes.
Have I blown your mind yet? I’ll let that sink in for just a minute. FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKES. Yes, they’re possible and they’re so darn delicious that I couldn’t wait to share them with you. I kept this version kid friendly, but you could easily add some Baileys, Kahlua or Bourbon to give them a bit of a kick.
These simple milkshakes take about 5 minutes to make (and 2 to drink) and are perfect for long, cozy weekends. Add a bit of whipped cream and some chocolate chips to the top, and you’re ready to indulge.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 hot cocoa packet (or 2 if you want it extra chocolatey)
- 3 cups ice
- whipped cream (for garnish)
- chocolate chips (for garnish)
- In a blender combine ice cream, milk, hot cocoa packet and ice and blend until it's smooth. Pour into a mug and top with whipped cream and chocolate chips!
- Serve and enjoy!
XO,
K
