Hello, pretties! Today’s post is a little more personal because i’m sharing how Jordan and I keep our relationship fun, romantic and exciting by setting aside some time to have a weekly date night. Plus, i’m spilling all the details on this adorable LBD that I found on sale!
Jordon and I are only going on our third month of marriage, so I’m not going to pretend to know the secret sauce to a successful relationship. But, we dated for six years before we got married and he still gives me butterflies every time we’re together. So, i’m beyond excited to share 3 reasons why you should mark your calendar with a weekly date-night with all you gorgeous girls today!
It’s a chance to add a little romance
I love our weekly date nights. We love to get all dressed up, pick out a swanky new restaurant and pretend like we’re going on our first date all over again every week. J even brings flowers sometimes, which is just the sweetest. Who doesn’t love fresh blooms and a date with their hubby?
It’s distraction free
Normally, we try to leave our phones in the car and stop thinking about all of our worries when we have our date night. With the amount of distractions we have today, it can be hard to find time to just be together. Taking 2+ hours a week to just focus on one another is a godsend! I definitely recommend adding a no cell-phone (or instagram) policy!
It encourages you to step out of your comfort zone
Once a month, J and I like to try something new for our weekly date. We’ve done a cooking class, canoeing, hiking and so much more. It’s a great way to do new things together.

I love this idea of a weekly date night! Life can get so busy and when you’ve been married a while these things can fall by the wayside buy they shouldn’t, it’s the little things that make all the difference! Great post. Love that lbd as well!!
