Last week was soooo cold. The kind of cold that makes you feel like you should just give up and freeze, because nothing can keep you warm. I pretty much camped out in my bed under my fur blanket, and when we had the tiniest bit of snow I swear I started to Google personal heaters.
Yes – I know i’m complaining. And, yes, I chose to move back to Indiana. But, man oh man, I had no idea it was going to get this cold. And we aren’t even into winter yet! I guess those years in Florida and DC spoiled me. While last week was completely unbearable, the past few days have been in the 40s/50s and absolutely beautiful. J and I have been able to make use of our patio and actually enjoy walking the dog (without freezing).
And, I traded out my heavy puffer jacket for this gorgeous suede jacket from The Mint Julep Boutique. I love the color for Fall and it paired perfectly with this striped sweater, which happens to be one of the coziest that I owned!
I added a bit of edge to the look with these All Saints Fringe Booties (similar here), which have been a staple in my closet for three years. You guys, they’re expensive but worth it. Seriously, they’ve gone through snow, city living and more. And, beyond being adorable they’re amazingly comfortable – I truly couldn’t recommend them enough!
How are your holiday plans coming? I’ve been doing tons of shopping for new holiday looks and items to bring with me as we travel. Let me know if the comments below if there’s anything specific you’d like to hear about before we get too close to Christmas!
XO,
K
