Is there a time when a festive cocktail is not a good idea? Asking for a friend. Truly, whenever i’m in a bit of a funk, I like to cheer myself up not by heading out for a night on the town, but by whipping up a new drink. Lately, winter weather has been bringing me down. So, I decided to cure my winter blues by creating a cocktail that’s made for Spring.
For a long time I was a vodka only girl. I didn’t love experimenting. But, a few years back I became a HUGE fan of gin. I’ve made Gin and Tonics in the Past ( autumn Gin & Tonics and summer Gin and Tonics here ). But, the past few months i’ve found myself reaching for a Gin and Sour when I go out. What’s a Gin and Sour you ask? A bright, refreshing cocktail that packs a sour punch thanks to the help of a little citrus.
Gin isn’t always a go-to for everyone. But, if you haven’t been a fan, I’d encourage you to give it another shot with this Citrus Gin and Sour Cocktail. The citrus gives it such a fresh taste that’s guaranteed to make you swoon. It’s also incredibly easy to make, and perfect served chilled for a backyard or patio party as the weather warms up.
