Lately the only way i’ve been getting out of bed in the morning is with the promise of a good breakfast. Most of the time I stick to healthy breakfast to start the day off right, but this Cinnamon Raisin French Toast Recipe is not that kind of breakfast.
This is one of those breakfasts that’s perfect for a lazy Sunday morning and begs to be eaten in bed. The best part is that it only takes about 20 minutes to make from start to finish, so you can even make it during the week if you have some spare time. Jordon loves French Toast, so this recipe is by far one of his favorites. I like to garnish it with some fruit so I feel like i’m being mildly healthy. It also looks and tastes great with some powdered sugar on top – Enjoy!
- 4 slices of Cinnamon Raisin Bread
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup vanilla almond milk
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- fruit for garnish
- In a mixing bowl combine eggs, almond milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix well!
- Drench the cinnamon raisin bread in the mixture on both sides and cook on a medium skillet for about 2 minutes on each side. Make sure to flip often so that the sides don't burn.
- Garnish with syrup, fruit, and some powdered sugar and enjoy!
