Well, hello hello my favorite party people! How is your January shaping up? I for one can’t believe we’re already closing in on February. But, given that it’s my birthday month and includes Valentines Day, I have to tell you i’m SO ready for it. To celebrate in style i’ve whipped up the loveliest gin & tonic for you all — the Blackberry Mint Gin and Tonic. Interested? Keep reading.
Around here we go all out for Valentines Day. I normally host a Galentines Day Brunch, make some mean chocolate doughnuts and whip up a few cocktails starting the first week of February. But, i’ve been even more excited this year because it will be our first Valentines as a married couple, so I figured i’d start celebrating on the blog a little early.
You guys, this Blackberry Mint Gin and Tonic is perfect for any Valentines (or Galentines) day party you plan to throw this year. For starters, it looks so pretty and it tastes even better. The blackberries are a touch sour, but taste so smooth when blended with a bit of simple syrup, some lemon and a touch of mint. And, thanks to my friends at Drizly, you can keep filling your guests’ drinks all night long without the fear of running out of gin. How? You can have it delivered (along with any beer, wine and liquor) right to your door.
So, go snag your favorite gin from Drizly and let’s get mixing!
- 3 Blackberries
- 1 Lemon (use some for garnish)
- 6 Mint Leaves
- 3 oz. Gin
- 1 Tbsp. Simple Syrup
- Tonic Water
- Ice
- Combine blackberries, mint leaves, lemon juice and simple syrup in a glass and muddle ingredients until fully mixed.
- Add ice to your glass and pour in gin. Then, top with tonic water and garnish with a slice of lemon, some fresh mint leaves and a blackberry.
- Serve, enjoy and have another!
Ready to give it a try? I promise it will become one of your new favorites!
XO,
K
