Some mornings you have your isht together and other mornings, well you just don’t. It’s on those mornings that I love smoothies the most. And, if we’re being honest – hey, we’re all friends here – I’ve been having a lot of those mornings lately. Normally, they consist of me running out the door, realizing I forgot to eat, running back inside and grabbing a pre-made smoothie from the fridge. Thank you, smoothie gods! Or, in this case my husband, J.
My smoothie of choice? I’ve been living on this insanely good, and surprisingly filling, Banana Oatmeal Smoothie. You guys, It’s so freakin’ good. Like, melt-in-your-mouth, lick your fingers good. I originally got this idea fro having one too many smoothies that didn’t fill me up. Plus, i’ve always loved oatmeal so I figured why not combine the two and see what happens. The result? Pure genius.
So, what are your breakfast plans for tomorrow? Because i’m thinking that this Banana Oatmeal Smoothie has to hit the top of your list. Here’s how to make it:
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup vanilla almond milk
- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup honey yogurt
- dash of cinnamon
- ice cubes
- Combine all ingredients in a blender, blend and pour into a tall glass (or to-go glass)!
- Top with oats and banana if desired.
