The air is starting to change, nights are getting just a bit cooler, and every Sunday our TV somehow lands on a football game. I’ll admit, i’m not a huge fan of football, but I love any excuse to cook up some delicious game day food, crack open some drinks and spend the day with friends.
From buffalo chicken nachos to skinny loaded french fries, it’s clear that football Sundays are a big day in our house. J loves it for the game, I love it for the food & friends. Let’s face it Sunday has officially become my cheat day every weekend (#SorryNotSorry).
If you don’t already have a go-to game day recipe, these baked ham and cheese pretzel sandwiches are for you. They may be one of the easiest recipes i’ve shared, and they’re husband approved. I’ve made these in the past as sliders on regular Hawaiian rolls, but the taste is completely elevated on these amazing pretzel rolls. I purchased mine from Trader Joe’s, and can honestly say i’ll never be making them on plain rolls again. So, without further ado here’s how to make these Baked Ham & Cheese Pretzel Sandwiches!
- 8 Slices of Cooked Deli Honey Ham
- 4 Slices Swiss Cheese
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 tbs Dijon Mustard
- 2 tsp Worcestershire
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray a cookie sheet with pam.
- Place the pretzel rolls on the cookie sheet. Add two slices of ham to each sandwich and 1 slice of swiss cheese. Then, add the top of the pretzel roll and press the sandwich down.
- In the microwave, melt butter. Add worcestershire, salt, pepper and dijon and stir well. Drizzle the mixture over the sandwiches and bake in oven for 15 minutes or until cheese has melted.
- Enjoy!
Let me know how they turn out!
XO,
K
