In our home, one Christmas Tree is never enough. Last year was our first Christmas in our new home, so we didn’t have a chance to deck the halls quite as much as I wanted to. But, it’s safe to say that we’ve more than made up for it with this year’s decorations.
This year, we decided to do things a little bit different and add a tree to all of the most-lived in rooms in our home – The Formal Living Room, The Living Room/Kitchen, Our Master Bedroom and a small tree in both the office and lounge space/basement. If you lost count (or interest) that’s a total of 5 Christmas Trees. AND, that doesn’t even include my newfound fascination with decorating my indoor plants with ornaments and lights. It’s safe to say that our current home aesthetic can best be labeled as: “Wishes they lived in a Hallmark Christmas Movie.”
Today seemed like the perfect time to give you a full tour of our biggest trees and main Holiday Decor – so, scroll through to see our Scandinavian Holiday Decor.
Formal Living Space:
This is the first official photos of a big change that’s come to our house! So, TA DA! We moved my former office to a spare bedroom and turned it into a game/room, formal/living room, hang out space and made sure to do so just in time for the holidays.
This space faces the road in front of our house, so it’s literally the space that EVERYONE sees as they walk or drive by. Therefore, I knew I wanted our biggest tree front and center in the window. We got this tree at a GREAT deal and it’s 9 ft tall, which makes a huge difference. Jordon loves sparkle, so this is the tree I put all silver, blush and white lights on. It also has a tinsel garland, which really pops at night.
Kitchen and Living Room:
I wanted to keep our kitchen and living room a little more neutral and subtle. So, for the first time ever I purchased a flocked 7ft tree and just added a few beaded garlands and natural ornaments. It’s easily the most simple tree we own, but placed next to our fireplace it just screams nordic haven.
Master Bedroom:
New to our bedroom this year was a skinny, aspen faux tree that fits perfectly next our dresser. It’s a great price, and it’s perfect for cozy corners that can’t fit a full tree. We adorned it with a few felt ornaments (llamas and cacti of course) and it truly makes for the coziest movie spot. HIGHLY recommend a Bedroom Tree if you watch movies in bed over the holiday season.
If you’ve still got some holiday tree shopping to do this holiday season, I can’t recommend the three big trees we have enough! Happy shopping 🙂
XO,
K
