This week it’s finally starting to cool down in Florida. Sure, it may not quite feel like fall, but a girl can dream, right? September is one of my favorite months of the year. I love saying goodbye to my summer clothes, and hello to suede skirts, long sleeve shirts, booties and more. But, there’s one summer look I can’t bear to get rid of, my stripes! Today I’m sharing 3 ways I incorporate them into my fall wardrobe.
Okay, so let’s be honest. Stripes are basically neutrals at this point. I’ve been seeing them everywhere, and the possibilities are endless with this classically chic print. So, here’s how I plan on adding them to my wardrobe this fall!
1. Pair stripes with an A-line skirt
I’m loving this seasons A-line skirt trend. I have a few of them and love how transitional they are from summer to fall. I paired my long-sleeve striped shirt with a simple blue aline skirt and some fun accessories to achieve this classic look. Trend tip: Try pairing a shirt like mine with a suede or corduroy skirt!
2. Balance stripes out with solid pieces
Although it’s doable, stripes are tough to mix with other patterns. When I wear them, I like to keep thing simple and effortless. So, I often pair them with solid pieces like this blue skirt or a relaxed pair of jeans.
3. Mix stripes with a colorful jacket
A stripe shirt is the perfect pair to any statement jacket or cape. I wear mine with my army green jacket constantly this time of year. It’s such a complimentary look, that can really elevate your style. This season, try pairing a striped shirt with a cape jacket, it’s a trend that’s sticking around all season long.
