This weekend was filled with all things fall. I mean Apple Cinnamon Pancakes, chilly weather, pumpkin picking and football. There’s nothing better. We had a blast at Butler’s Orchard and i’m wishing I could flashback to Sunday after looking at all these snaps from our trip. Now i’ve got to figure out what to do with all the pumpkins we brought home!
Apple season is in full force and we bought way too many from our apple picking outing last week. I love experimenting with traditional recipes, so J and I decided to make some cinnamon apples for our pancakes and they turned out SO good. Happy Sunday morning & enjoy!
As much as I love date night, it can be SO hard to set aside the time when life is moving a mile a minute. J & I have a rule that, no matter what, we find time for 1 date night a week, and I LOVE it. This week has been crazy busy, and I knew a traditional night out wouldn’t work so I brought the movies to us. With Halloween approaching we snuggled up and turned on Insidious 3 (SO SCARY). Thanks to Home Goods for the adorable popcorn bucket that made us feel like we were actually at a theater!
If you don’t use SkinnyTaste to find recipes, do yourself a favor and check it out ASAP. Ever since getting on my health kick a few years back, it’s my go to site for low calorie dishes that don’t compromise on taste.
I have been searching for healthy doughnut recipes forever and these Cinnamon Vanilla Doughnuts adapted from Brit and Co. are amazing and SO easy to make. I love Krispy Kream, but hate all the calories so these are a great way to indulge without feeling guilty. Also, they only take about 30 minutes, which is perfect for any lazy Sunday treat!
It’s fall and it’s Friday so I had to share this amazing cocktail. I’ve been trying to find a way to incorporate apple cider into a drink, and this has become one of my go to cocktails for fall entertaining. I love a good Pinot Grigio so that’s what I used for this recipe, but it could easily be done with your favorite white wine!
Fall is one of my favorite seasons to decorate. From gourds to pumpkins and plaid our house has no shortage of decorations. Last night Jordon and I took a walk outside and I loved seeing all of the leaves falling from the trees, so I grabbed a few to bring home and spent the night figuring out how I wanted to use them. I happened to have some Martha Stewart Metallic paint in my craft cabinet (yes, it’s a thing) and I quickly painted some designs on them. I love how they turned out and just had to share! Literally, this was such an easy craft and the whole process took under 30 minutes to finish.
If you’re like me, Monday mornings are rough. Now that it’s getting colder outside it’s even harder to get out of bed, so an easy breakfast is a MUST. This recipe can be made Sunday night and can last you quite a few meals, talk about a win-win. Also, it’s super healthy and delicious!
Engagement parties are the BEST. Let’s be real…I’m down for any event that lets my inner crafter come out and this was my ultimate Pinterest DIY moment.
Jordon and I waited a few months to throw our engagement party because our wedding isn’t until May . We also knew that because we are planning an intimate wedding we wanted a bigger engagement party to celebrate. More importantly we love Indiana in August and couldn’t resists a chance to sip champagne outside!
I’m so excited to share the party and all of its details with you guys today! My mom and I made everything from the balloon streamers to the table signs and everything else we put together through different shops on Etsy ( I swear it’s a lifesaver). Big props to my mom for helping me pull this party off. I so wish we would have taken a few more pictures, but I guess it’s a good thing to not think about the photos and just enjoy!
