Happy Tuesday, guys! It’s been a busy, but good, start to the week over here.
J and I met up with our interior designer yesterday to finalize the pieces we’ll be purchasing for our new home (more on that here), and I literally can not wait to show you everything. Our move in date got pushed back slightly, so we’re hoping to be in by the end of March/Early April. And, I’ll probably have it ready for reveal by May or June. But, I’ll certainly be giving tons of sneak peeks over on Instagram.
I’ve had nothing by Valentine’s Day (and Spring) on my mind for the past few weeks, so I figured I’d build off of my Romantic Morning at Home Post, with an alternative approach towards a date night: What to wear on a night out! I’m certainly past the days of tight Bodycon dresses and skirts that my mother certainly wouldn’t approve of, and, to be fair, I’m not sure I was ever really in it. Which led me to think, what can a girl in her mid-twenties / early 30s wear when she’s try to look sexy, but not too sexy? Enter this foolproof combination: Silk & Denim.
It works for everything; I promise. Just think: Girls Night Out (Check), Date Night (Check) and Bar-Hopping in the City (Check)! P.S. It’s also guy approved (thanks, J).
I bought this camisole from Abercrombie in two colors (it comes in so many), and I swear, It’s the one piece of clothing I wear more than anything else. The best part? A good silk cami doesn’t just have to be for date night, I even layer mine with a knit cardigan for work or when I’m out shopping with friends.
Whenever I don’t know what to wear, I always fall back on my Black Skinny Jeans. I swear, they always look good and can be paired with almost anything. They lengthen your legs, suck in your stomach and help define your waist!
