If there’s one thing you have to know about me, it’s that I absolutely adore chips and salsa of any kind. Salsa? Of Course. Guacamole? Any time, any place. Queso? Give me all the cheese. Pico De Gallo? You betcha! Really, it’s a problem. But, it’s one i’m willing to have.
If I had to choose one chips and salsa recipe to live off of though, it would undoubtedly be this fresh, homemade pico de gallo I perfected a few years back. I’ve made it for so many parties and get tons of compliments whenever I do. Plus, making it is nearly as simple as running to the store and grabbing a jar. But, it’s 1000x better. So, without further ado, here’s how to make it!
- 5 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 jalapeno peppers, diced (3 if you like it spicier)
- ½ medium white onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice from 1 lime
- Combine onion, tomato, cilantro, jalapeno, garlic and lime juice. Mix well and add to a bowl! Serve cold
